What to know before planning your visit.

To make the most of your museum experience, please note that visitor groups must contact the museum in advance in order to schedule their visit. Tickets are not available online and can only be purchased on-site at the museum’s ticket office. Individual visitors and small groups do not need to notify the museum beforehand.

Admission tickets

General admission: €2.00
Reduced admission: €1.00
Payment is accepted only by bank card.

Reduced admission applies to:

  • Children and young people aged 13 to 25
  • Adults over 65 years old
  • Accompanying parents during primary school educational visits
  • Groups of 10 persons or more
  • Parents of large families, families with three children, or single-parent families

Free admission applies to:

  • Children up to 12 years old
  • Students and accompanying teachers during school educational visits
  • Holders of an unemployment card
  • Beneficiaries of the Social Solidarity Income (K.E.A.) and their dependents
  • Persons with disabilities and one companion, provided the disability rate is 67% or higher
  • Licensed guides, when accompanying groups or visiting individually (with presentation of professional ID)
  • Holders of membership cards of ICOM (International Council of Museums) and ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites)

Access to the museum

The Industrial Museum is accessible to visitors with disabilities. The walking distance between the port and the main building (Katsimantis) is approximately 10 minutes, and, if you decide to take a car or taxi, the ride lasts about 3 minutes. The free municipal bus service of the Municipality of Syros – Hermoupolis serves the same route, with the nearest stop being the one at Iroon (Heroes’) Square.
