On the occasion of the Syros Healing Waves Festival (October 2–5, 2025)—a festival aiming to highlight the power of pleasure as a fundamental element of healing—the Industrial Museum of Hermoupolis presents the visual arts exhibition “From Trauma to Light”, featuring works by Paris Xyntarianos Tsiropinas and Agni Roussou, created specifically for the Festival.
The works of the two artists, crafted exclusively for this event, are not simply paintings or sculptures. “They are testimonies—and at the same time invitations. A dialogue between darkness and light, a bridge from the experience of pain to the possibility of creation,” noted both the artists and Despina Plousiou, founder of the Syros Healing Waves Festival.

The exhibition will remain open throughout the Festival, serving as a visual beacon that illuminates the daily journey from trauma toward blossoming, inviting visitors not merely to observe, but to participate internally in this transition.
“…the exhibition featuring works by Paris Xyntarianos Tsiropinas and Agni Roussou is inspired by the very theme that brings us together here. Their paintings are not just images—they are souls that speak, that move us, that urge us to pause for a moment. To look beyond the obvious, to allow our own soul to be touched, to identify, to remember. This is the power of art: to bring to the surface what usually remains in the shadows,” emphasized Ms. Plousiou.
“The opening of this exhibition marks the beginning of an important journey made possible through the initiative of Despina Plousiou,” said Thomaï Mendrinou, Deputy Mayor of Culture of the Municipality of Syros – Hermoupolis, in her address. She went on to congratulate the two artists, Agni Roussou and Paris Xyntarianos Tsiropinas, noting that these are unique works created exclusively for the Festival.
