Opening to the world

The city turned its gaze outward and became a key trading hub, enabling Greek commercial houses to establish networks across the Eastern Mediterranean. A section of this room showcases the historic women’s fashions store of K. Charalambidis, which imported goods from France and Germany, and was located on the ground floor of the Petritzis Mansion in the early 20th century.
