“Loukoumi”, Syros’ delight

Located on the second floor of the Museum, this exhibit pays tribute to the sweet history of a heritage that is now intertwined with the island’s identity. In 2019, the Ministry of Culture included the Loukoumi in the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Greece, which describes the Loukoumi of Syros as inextricably linked to the society and tradition of the island.
